Actor Vince Vaughn made a surprise appearance at the White House Friday and met President Donald Trump, a move which was hilariously documented on the official White House X account.
The 55-year-old was featured in a meme parodying the 2005 romantic comedy classic, “Wedding Crashers,” which starred Vaughn and Owen Wilson.

This spoof was titled “White House Crashers” and showed a snapshot of Vaughn and Trump during their meeting as a mock movie poster.
The White House had not formally listed Vaughn’s visit on the president’s schedule for reporters, per The Hill.
“Wedding Crashers” (2005) is a comedy about two best friends, John (Owen Wilson) and Jeremy (Vaughn), who crash weddings to meet women and party. Their routine is disrupted when John develops feelings for Claire (Rachel McAdams), the daughter of a powerful politician, Secretary William Cleary (Christopher Walken), during a high-society wedding.
Vaughn addressed his politics during a profile in The New York Times last year, saying he’s a libertarian and a “believer more in allowing individuals to make choices.”
“I’d rather say let people make their choices, and they can make different choices and have the consequences of their choices,” he told the outlet.
This isn’t the first time Vaughn has made headlines for associating with Trump. They were also seen together at the 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship game in New Orleans, with Vaughn later defending his actions after criticism came his way.
“In my career I’ve met a lot of politicians who I’ve always been cordial to,” he told the Los Angeles Times shortly after the meeting and subsequent backlash. “I don’t have a party that I support and endorse. In fact, for me sometimes it’s difficult to find a candidate that you feel is philosophically consistent and not just going along with whoever is funding their particular party.”
