A video posted on X by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) was ripped apart by social media users who noticed that federal government agents’ idea for removing debris from Hurricane Milton probably wasn’t the most efficient strategy.

In the post, CBP wrote, “Along with our partners at @FEMA, we will continue with disaster recovery as a result of Hurricane Milton. The safety of the American people is our top priority.” The 20-second video shows at least 14 CBP officers moving a small log to a debris pile by passing it down a line.

The video was blasted by social media users, who quipped that using over a dozen people and taking 20 seconds to move a log around 30 feet was a perfect example of the federal government’s inefficiency.

“I was in Asheville yesterday and saw one 75-year-old veteran carry a log twice this size twice as fast as these 20 government employees,” Daily Wire Senior Editor Cabot Phillips wrote.

“Is it just me or is this an insane waste of resources?” asked NewsNation anchor Leland Vittert. “Put the @cbp officers on the border to stop [fentanyl] and hire some folks with chainsaws — what am I missing?!”

“Government waste and incompetence in full view right here,” The Federalist CEO Sean Davis said.

MATT WALSH’S ‘AM I RACIST?’ COMING TO DAILYWIRE+ OCT. 28

“We can get 14 federal officers to move an 18-inch log, but we can’t get one Secret Service Agent to check out a sloped roof,” added Daily Wire editor Virginia Kruta. “Sadly, that tracks.”

Other social media users pointed out that using a wheelbarrow would allow one person to transport numerous logs that size, speeding up the process, but apparently, the CBP officers preferred the assembly line method.

At least Americans can rest easy knowing the answer to the question. It takes at least 14 CBP officers to move a small log 30 feet. Americans are still waiting to find out how many CBP officers it takes to stop the Biden-Harris administration’s border crisis.
