Former President Donald Trump raised his fist on Saturday as he had blood running down the side of his face after apparently being shot at a political rally in Pennsylvania.

As the sound of shots rang out, Trump grabbed near his ear and ducked as he was swarmed by Secret Service agents and the crowd gasped in shock at what was unfolding.

Once Secret Service agents got him up, they were in the process of rushing him off stage when he stopped them so he could deliver a message.

“Wait! Wait! Wait!” Trump said to the agents. Then looking at the thousands of supporters who showed up, he raised his fist and shouted: “Fight! Fight! Fight!”

Trump spokesman Steven Cheung said that Trump was “fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility.”

He said that Trump “thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act.”

The U.S. Secret Service said in a statement: “An incident occurred the evening of July 13 at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania.”

“The Secret Service has implemented protective measures and the former President is safe,” the statement continued. “This is now an active Secret Service investigation and further information will be released when available.”
