The liberal hosts of ABC’s “The View” found themselves “in mourning” and going through the various stages of grief during Friday’s broadcast as they recapped the disastrous debate between former President Donald Trump and current President Joe Biden.

The debate, which has reportedly caused panic within the Democratic Party, showcased all of the frailty and confusion that conservative outlets have been pointing out in Biden — and put it on display in a way that very few have even attempted to excuse or explain away.

“The View” co-host Joy Behar was one of the few, advising her co-hosts not to “get too depressed yet” — while Sunny Hostin said that she was “mourning” — and suggesting that his lackluster performance was just due to a cold giving him a hoarse voice.

Co-host Sara Haines was among those who saw the debate and said that it was time for Biden to step aside, preferably soon, in the hopes that the Democratic Party could replace him in time to have a shot at winning the presidential election in November.

“President Biden needs to step down and be replaced,” Haines said – and she suggested that perhaps his team knew that and had intentionally scheduled the debate early enough to replace him.

Saying that the debate had been “really hard to watch,” Haines went on to admit that Democrats had been working overtime to spin Biden’s age and cognitive abilities as less concerning than they really were.

“Democrats need to stop spinning the age problem. Over and over Democrats have twisted themselves into a pretzel to say, ‘Don’t believe your lying eyes,’” Haines added, admitting that she and her co-hosts had done the same.

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin, who worked in the Trump White House and now calls the former president a “threat to democracy,” said she was surprised by how badly the debate went for Biden.

“It was stunningly worse than I expected, the performance,” she said. “Biden’s performance was so bad it eclipsed everything Donald Trump said.”

She went on to claim that “Trump world” was afraid of anyone the Democrats could replace Biden with, and said that Biden “needs to put country before his own ambition and he needs to step aside and pass the baton.”

When it was Hostin’s turn to weigh in, she conceded that Biden had lost the debate. She then immediately pivoted to attack Trump, saying that Republicans should be the ones who had to get a new nominee.

Ana Navarro defended Biden, saying she was not ready to throw in the towel “until Joe Biden tells me he’s giving up.”

Fake conservative Ana Navarro asserts that Democrats are better humans than Republicans: “Democrats are exquisite. They’re precious. They’re idealists.”

Behar jumped in to defend Biden again, suggesting that the president was actually fine and that something about the debate had thrown him off.

“This is really unbelievable,” she said, showing a clip of him speaking at a debate watch party after it was all over and saying that he hardly resembled the man who had debated Trump.

Navarro suggests Biden could still pull off a win like Bush and Obama did after poor debate performances.
