Sports broadcaster and podcast host Stephen A. Smith said he’s done defending Democrats’ lies following the revelations of the inspector general’s January 6 report that found the FBI had dozens of informants in D.C., including some inside the Capitol that day.
Speaking on “The Stephen A. Smith Show,” the host pointed to the IG report, calling it a bombshell that revealed the FBI had at least 26 informants in D.C., on January 6, 2021, the day of the U.S. Capitol riot, including some who committed offenses but are not among the hundreds who have been charged with crimes, as previously reported.
“Didn’t hear anything about that before the election,” Smith said. “Didn’t hear anything about that when the quote unquote ‘insurrection’ was broached by Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic [presidential] nominee. By President Biden before her. By Democrats in both the House and the Senate they articulated that [President-elect] Donald Trump was a danger to democracy and used this as a profound illuminating bullet point to make this case.”
“And here we are yet again, adding even more evidence to Donald Trump’s claims when he articulated ‘the process is rigged … they are talking about us, but look at what they do,’” he added. “My big issue is that I’m really, really sick and tired of every time I turn around, finding something else that the Democrats have lied about or downplayed or misrepresented along the way.”
“You know what I’m getting really p****d off about?!” Smith continued. “I’m getting really ticked off …We can argue politics all day long. But the Democrats worked really, really diligently to make the case that the right had a monopoly on insidious, evil tendencies. Corrupt tendencies. Duplicitous, hypocritical, untruthful tendencies and every time they made those accusations, we turn around and find out that at least some of them are guilty of the same s**t.’ I don’t know about you all, but I’m sick of all of it.”
Smith said they’ve “made Donald Trump look like he was right instead of them.”
The podcast host previously called out the Democrats following Biden’s sweeping pardon of his son Hunter Biden.
During his show, he said Biden’s reversal of course to pardon Hunter for any federal crimes he “committed or may have committed” over the span of 11 years has essentially neutered his party.
“You were intending to do this all along, which, again, is no problem. But it doesn’t make you any less full of it,” the broadcaster told his audience. “Because when you look at Donald Trump and how the Democrats went after him, you do understand that the Democrats are no longer in a position to say anything, right?”
“You can talk till the cows come home,” he added. “You whistling it to the wind. Nobody wants to hear what you have to say right now. I’m not talking about you; I’m talking about your party. Because when you pardon your son, going back on your word, telling the American people there was no way that you were going to pardon him when everybody and their grandmamma knew you were lying, but then hold you accountable for it.”
