Taylor Swift has been dethroned from the top of the Billboard charts, ending any hopes she had of maintaining the number one album for a record number of weeks.

It happened when Eminem’s latest album, “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce),” debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. This knocked Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department” out of the premier position after 12 weeks.

The “Cruel Summer” singer’s latest album debuted at number one in April and over the past three months, it did break the record for the longest-running number one album by a female artist. That title previously belonged to Whitney Houston for her 1987 album “Whitney,” per the Associated Press.

The album that remained number one for the longest time overall at 13 consecutive weeks is Stevie Wonder’s “Songs in the Key of Life” from 1976, which remained at the top of the chart for 14 weeks total.

“The Tortured Poets Department” tied Morgan Wallen’s 2023 album “One Thing at a Time,” which also debuted in the top spot and remained there for 12 consecutive weeks.

Eminem’s latest album is his 12th release and 11th album to debut at number one.

Swift is currently still touring the world as part of her massively popular Eras Tour, which she recently admitted will come to an end later this year.

“A lot of you are like, ‘How are you going to celebrate the 100th show?’” Swift said during a Liverpool performance in June, as The Daily Wire previously reported. “The celebration of the 100th show for me means this is the very first time I’ve acknowledged to myself and admitted that this tour is going to end in December.”

“That feels so far away from now, but then again, it feels like we just played our first show on this tour because you have made this so fun for us,” she continued. “It’s taken over everything.”

“I think I once had hobbies, but I don’t know what they were anymore because all I do when I’m not on stage is sit at home and try to think of clever acoustic song mashups,” Swift said. “Just know that I appreciate every single ounce of effort that you’ve put into being with us when this tour reaches triple digits of shows — so thank you.”
