Abortion rights activist Hadley Duvall claimed during a Monday morning MSNBC appearance that all women of childbearing age should realize that their “lives are at stake” going into the 2024 election.
Duvall became an abortion activist after being raped at age 12 by her stepfather — who is now in prison — after which she became pregnant and miscarried. She sat alongside Vice President Kamala Harris and argued that every woman’s life was “at stake” if she did not have easy access to abortion — and that only re-electing President Joe Biden would ensure that.

“If you have a woman in your life that means something to you, her life is at stake,” Duvall told “Morning Joe” host Mika Brzezinski as Harris sat beside her, nodding along. “It doesn’t matter if she is 12, 9, 34, you know, it really does not matter. If there is a woman who is in that reproductive age, then, you know, her life is at stake during this election.”

“And it doesn’t matter if you’ve never voted Democrat in your life, you know, it’s — get off your high horse, because women, we don’t get to choose you know, a whole lot and you at least can choose who you can vote for,” Duvall continued. “And there is a lot of things that need to be worked on. You know, we can’t get it all done, but at the very least we could get out of women’s business.”
Duvall went on to suggest that the only people who opposed abortion did so for religious reasons, complaining that other people’s religions “shouldn’t make the law.”
She concluded by saying, “My god, the one that I worship” would never have wished her to be forced to carry a pregnancy after being raped.
