A professional lip reader who analyzed the conversation between former President Barack Obama and President Joe Biden at Ethel Kennedy’s memorial service is suggesting the two Democrat heavyweights were having a not-so-flattering discussion about Vice President Kamala Harris.
According to Jeremy Freeman, a forensic lip reader who was born deaf and has served as a University College London-certified expert witness for litigants, Biden said to Obama, “She’s not as strong as me,” to which Obama responded, “I know … that’s true … We have time,” prompting Biden to reply, “Yeah, we’ll get it in time,” the New York Post reported.
The lip reader never catches Biden or Obama saying Harris, leaving much uncertainty about what the two were discussing. Biden spokesman Andrew Bates dismissed the translation, saying, “A ‘lip reading expert’? Did your usual right-wing soothsayer have their out-of-office up? Only President Biden and President Obama know what they discussed, but this certainly wasn’t it.”
The strained relationship between Harris and Biden, however, has spilled out through political reporters who cover them.
“The relationship between Kamala Harris’ team and Joe Biden’s White House has been increasingly fraught in the final weeks before Election Day, 10 people familiar with the situation tell Axios,” Axios reported earlier this week. “Some on the Harris team say that top White House aides aren’t sufficiently coordinating Biden’s messaging and schedule to align with what’s best for the vice president’s campaign. … Several Biden aides have joined Harris’ campaign, but some feel like they’ve been labeled as disloyal by Biden’s team for leaving or even considering it.”
MATT WALSH’S ‘AM I RACIST?’ COMING TO DAILYWIRE+ OCT. 28
“President Joe Biden is still smarting from having been forced to abandon his reelection campaign more than three weeks ago and has made clear to those close to him that he was particularly unhappy with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, with whom he has not spoken since his decision to abandon his candidacy,” CNN reported in mid-August. “Sources stopped short of using the word ‘grudge’ – but said Biden would not soon forget those who appeared to be most active in pushing him aside.”
After the June 2019 Democratic presidential candidate debate, when then-Senator Kamala Harris attacked Joe Biden over his position on desegregation, insinuating that he was a racist, Biden’s wife Jill, speaking to close supporters, reportedly furiously attacked Harris, snapping, “With what he cares about, what he fights for, what he’s committed to, you get up there and call him a racist without basis? Go f*** yourself.”
The story of Jill Biden’s alleged irate response to Harris’ claims came from Edward-Isaac Dovere, a staff writer for The Atlantic, as reported by POLITICO.
