One reason First Lady Jill Biden may be counseling her husband, President Joe Biden, to remain the Democratic presidential nominee despite numerous calls for him to step down may be her rancor toward Vice President Kamala Harris, according to a report.

The Daily Mail spoke with sources claiming to have the inside scoop on the relationship between Jill Biden and Harris, and concluded that Harris alienated Jill Biden as far back as June 2019 when she attacked Biden in a presidential debate. The sources say the first lady still hasn’t forgiven her.

Harris had stated:

I’m going to now direct this to Vice President Biden. I do not believe you are a racist and I agree with you when you commit yourself to the importance of finding common ground. But, I also believe—and it’s personal. And I—I was actually very—it was hurtful to hear you talk about the reputations of two United States senators who built their reputations and career on segregation of race in this country. And it was not only that, but you also worked with them to oppose bussing.

The Daily Beast reported in 2021;

After a primary debate in June 2019, Jill Biden blew up over Kamala Harris’ challenges to her husband’s stance on race, according to the soon-to-be released book Battle for the Soul. On a call with supporters, the now-first lady reportedly said, “With what he cares about, what he fights for, what he’s committed to, you get up there and call him a racist without basis?” “Go f*** yourself,” she continued. Her press secretary, Michael LaRosa, did not dispute the quote, but said, “the first lady and her team do not plan to comment on any of [the retellings of the 2020 campaign.]”

The Daily Mail spoke with a “former Democratic operative operative in Jill’s circle,” who stated that Jill Biden’s refusal to let her husband step down is  “one hundred percent” due to her intense dislike of Harris. A source told The Daily Mail that Jill Biden harbors “hatred” for Harris.

“Jill holds grudges,” a “Democrat insider” insisted to the outlet. Another source stated, “She doesn’t let things go and she has never forgiven Kamala for comments that some took to be allegations of racism. … Jill was trying to stop Kamala joining the Biden ticket in 2020. She has hated her ever since the school bus thing. But she bit her tongue because Biden boxed himself into a corner by saying he would pick a black woman for his running mate.”

Jill Biden is “’absolutely unwavering about Joe staying [in the race] but if he is forced out or opts out, she would be fully opposed to Kamala replacing him,” a source echoed.
