A Republican wearing a pro-Trump hat was followed and harassed by a man who swore at him and repeatedly called him a Nazi on Thursday, according to video of the Boston incident.

Nicky Miceli, a state committeeman for the Massachusetts GOP representing the Middlesex and Norfolk District, was walking down the street in the Fenway neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, when he was approached by a man screaming at him for wearing a hat emblazoned with a 47 on it for President Donald Trump.

“He saw me wearing the hat that said ‘47’ and proceeded to shout profanities and spit on my foot,” Miceli told The Daily Wire. “I immediately started recording as he repeatedly screamed and spit on my face.”

In the video, the unnamed man is seen repeatedly calling Miceli a Nazi and telling him to get off his campus.

“You’re on my f**king campus with that f**king hat on, get the f**k out of here,” the man shouted.

In response, Miceli pointed out he was walking down a public street near Wentworth University, but not on campus.

“Take your f***king fascist hat off,” the man said with several profanities. “Look at this f**king Nazi. 47. This guy supports Trump, has his f**king hat on.”

At one point, the man sees a group of people and encourages them to taunt Miceli.

“Take your gay f**king white gold Trump hat off,” The man said. “He’s a f**king loser and you’re a f**king Nazi punk. Boo this co******er, boo him!”

Once Miceli reached a corner, the man shouted some more before he finally stopped following him.

The belligerent man appeared to be wearing a hat from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 103, the union representing electricians and telecommunications specialists in Boston.

“I wear the hat often to practice my freedom of speech and expression,” Miceli said. “I think it’s just years of being gaslighted by the media into being so hateful.”

Miceli said he got the hat at TPUSA’s America Fest in Arizona last December.

IBEW 103 did not respond to a request for comment.
