Former President Donald J. Trump is projected to win the key swing state of Nevada, securing the state’s 6 Electoral College votes, according to a projection from Decision Desk HQ.
With an estimated 90% of the vote reported, Trump led Vice President Kamala Harris 51.5% to 46.8%. Trump has now secured 286 votes in the Electoral College, surpassing the 270 threshold to be declared the winner.
There are no automatic recounts in the state. Any candidate can request a recount, but they are liable for the cost if they are not successful.

Polls leading up to the election had shown a tight race between the two candidates with former President Donald Trump leading Vice President Harris in the RealClearPolitics average by 0.6 points headed into Election Day.

Nevada has seen a dramatic surge in the amount of spending on campaign ads during the 2024 election cycle for all political races in the state when compared to 2020.
In 2020, for all races in the state, the two parties spent $90 million. Now, the two parties have spent $354 million in the state, with Democrats spending $203 million and Republicans spending $111 million.
For the presidential race during the 2024 election cycle, Democrats outspent Republicans $82 million to $36 million.
