Former California Republican Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger took shots at former President Donald Trump on Wednesday while endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for the presidency.
The Hollywood celebrity made the endorsement in a statement on social media where he claimed that “people want to hear from me because I am not just a celebrity, I am a former Republican Governor.”
He said that while he hates politics, especially in the current political environment, he felt obligated to speak out before the election.
“Let me be honest with you: I don’t like either party right now. My Republicans have forgotten the beauty of the free market, driven up deficits, and rejected election results,” he said. “Democrats aren’t any better at dealing with deficits, and I worry about their local policies hurting our cities with increased crime.”
Schwarzenegger made no mention of the numerous times over a period of decades that Democrats have denied the results of elections.

“To someone like me who talks to people all over the world and still knows America is the shining city on a hill, calling America a trash can for the world is so unpatriotic, it makes me furious,” he said.

He made no mention of President Joe Biden saying this week that 74 million Americans who voted for Trump were “garbage.”

“This week, I am voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz,” he said.
He lamented the growing national debt and the crisis at the southern border, two issues that have both been dramatically worsened under the Biden-Harris administration.
Schwarzenegger claimed that the only thing Trump accomplished was getting a tax cut passed and that it was only for “his donors and other rich people like me but helped no one else.”
Nearly 65% of Americans got a tax cut under Trump, according to The New York Times.
He claimed that electing Trump would lead to “four more years of bulls*** with no results that makes us angrier and angrier, more divided, and more hateful.”
“We need to close the door on this chapter of American history, and I know that former President Trump won’t do that,” he added. “He will divide, he will insult, he will find new ways to be more un-American than he already has been, and we, the people, will get nothing but more anger.”
He did not make any argument for why voters should support Harris other than saying Trump, in his mind, was worse.
