H.R. 2454 (cap and trade)

UPDATE: Motion to reconsider was laid on the table and agreed to on HR 2454 Waxman-Markey. I just found the legislation summary. The best we can do is let them hear what we think and to fight it on the Senate side. They push things through so fast then slow to post so we do not have time to get the word out. I am still calling to tell them what I think and I hope everyone else does too! Thanks!

The US House of Representatives passed HR 2454 on Friday June 26, 2009. The 8 Republicans who voted FOR the largest tax bill ever passed by a session of Congress have 5 days to change their votes. The deadline is Wednesday, July 2, 2009.

What Can You Do To Help? It’s time for a National Phone and Fax-a-Thon! Let’s join together with other states and apply the pressure! This Action Alert is spreading across the country asking ALL States to contact the 8 Republicans urging them to change their vote before the deadline!

THE PLAN: Call AND send a fax to ALL of their offices beginning Monday ... Do not stop until Wednesday! We may not be their constituents but their vote has a profound effect on every citizen across the country! It is important to do this while their offices are open so they get the FULL effect of our message! They will need to add paper to the fax machine too so let’s keep them busy!
